Faith in Action: Praying, Educating, and Standing with Migrants

In these uncertain times, our church and ministry remain deeply committed to supporting our migrant brothers and sisters. The reality of the current immigration crisis weighs heavily on our hearts, and we recognize the urgent need to share resources, provide comfort, and offer hope to those caught in the struggle.

As policies shift and the path forward becomes increasingly difficult, many migrants find themselves in limbo—stuck in an unfamiliar land, without certainty, without stability, and without the hope they once carried of reaching the Tierra de los Sueños (Land of Dreams). Yet, even in the face of adversity, we come together to pray, guide, and uplift those seeking a better life.

Empowering Through Knowledge: Know Your Rights

At Eagle Pass Border Ministries, we understand that knowledge is power. That is why we are actively distributing and sharing essential information about immigrants’ rights—helping individuals and families understand their protections under U.S. law.

    •    We are handing out flyers and meeting with migrants to ensure they know their rights when encountering law enforcement or navigating legal processes.

    •    We are organizing workshops to teach the community about their constitutional protections and resources available to them.

    •    We are partnering with local leaders to ensure that everyone, regardless of their immigration status, has the tools and knowledge to advocate for themselves and their families.

In the images shared, you can see members of our team reaching out to those in need—whether in shelters, public spaces, or our church—equipping them with vital resources that could make all the difference in their journey.

Faith in Action: Praying for Strength and Guidance

Beyond education and outreach, we are rooted in the power of prayer.

    •    We gather in circles of faith and solidarity, holding hands with migrants and community members, lifting their worries to the Lord.

    •    We stand shoulder to shoulder with those who feel abandoned, praying that even in their moments of greatest despair, they may find light and strength.

    •    We remind them that God is with them—guiding their steps, providing them with resilience, and surrounding them with love even in the midst of struggle.

The images captured during one of our recent prayer gatherings show a moment of deep connection—migrants and ministry members standing together, hands clasped, heads bowed in unity. This is the heart of our mission: to offer spiritual, emotional, and practical support to those who need it most.

The Road Ahead: Standing Firm in Our Mission

We do not know what tomorrow will bring, but we know our mission remains the same: to serve, to educate, and to walk alongside our migrant brothers and sisters with compassion and faith.

If you would like to support our work, whether through donations, volunteering, or sharing our mission, we invite you to join us. Together, we can continue to make a difference—one prayer, one act of kindness, and one shared moment of hope at a time.
