In a heartfelt tribute to lives lost, we gathered at Shelby Park to plant 700 crosses, each bearing witness to the profound impact of migration. These crosses represent more than just numbers; they symbolize the irreplaceable souls lost along the Rio Grande.
As we stood among the crosses, we couldn't help but feel the weight of their significance – the pain of unnecessary loss, the anguish of unfulfilled dreams, and the collective yearning for a world where such tragedies cease to exist.
Yet, in the midst of sorrow, there was also solace found in our shared prayers for eternal peace. Together, we lifted our voices to the heavens, seeking comfort for those who have departed and strength for those who continue their journey.
Let this solemn gathering serve as a reminder of our duty to uphold human dignity and advocate for compassion in all circumstances. May our prayers for peace echo beyond the confines of this park, reaching every corner of the world touched by the plight of migrants.
Join us as we honor the memory of those we have lost and pledge to work towards a future where every life is valued and protected. Together, we can make a difference. 🌟 #MemorialVigil #RememberingLives #PrayersForPeace
